Make some small changes and see big results with these overlooked marketing and branding strategies for small businesses.

Use great visuals

Visuals draw people to your page, your website or your advertisements. It gives your customers something interesting to focus on and breaks up the text if you are giving a lot of information. Infographics are an excellent way to showcase your business whilst offering vital information such as giving patient information when marketing a physical therapy site. If your information is detailed, you could use charts or graphs to improve understanding and readability too. But any photographs or visual cues that enhance your brand are great.

Don’t forget about great content

When marketing your business, you don’t want to come across as a sales pitch. You need to give something valuable to your customers to keep them engaged. Interesting facts, funny stories and shareable information are all ways to improve your content and entice readers to share and get involved. Blog about your business and make your brand more personal so customers will feel closer to you and put trust in your business.

Share and share your content

This might seem obvious but may small business owners often think if they write it will be read. This is not the case, just because you but something out there into the world wide web it doesn’t mean it will be found. You need to share your content to your relevant audiences. Be that on social media or in the form of paid advertising you need to get your content out there to the right people.  If you can make your article go viral then this is the ultimate aim. Remember sharing is caring

Remember to use influencers

Influencers are big news, but many small businesses forget about them or worry about how to use them. Your information being shared or having recommendations from influencers in your niche can do wonders for your brand and can be a great addition to your marketing strategy. It brings trust and confidence, therefore, customers are more likely to make a purchase or use your services.

Be approachable and personal

Answering comments and questions you get on your posts will show that you care about feedback from your customers. Being approachable and answering both positive and negative comments will give the impression that you are personable rather than just a faceless business. When customers see you care they will be more likely to use your services. Taking time to look at reviews and comments from customers is often overlooked by small businesses.

Why do you need a marketing strategy?

A good marketing strategy will improve your brand presence, increase sales, bring in new and existing customers and improve your customer loyalty. By doing different types of marketing you are more likely to have the interest and intrigue when engaging with your potential customers. So you need to make sure you get it right.
