There are a few things that are a must while working in a coworking space. First, if your coworking space does not consist of the same, you might not work productively. Also, going with such a coworking space is not a good idea either.
That is why, before picking a coworking space in Singapore, follow the 4 step checklist, which we will highlight below.
1. Location:
You cannot ignore the location of the coworking space. Especially in a city like Singapore, you cannot do so. While searching for a coworking space in Singapore, you should analyze the location on two different parameters. These are
• Commutation:
The very 1st thing which you need to look at is the communication time. You have to find out how you’re going to travel to the coworking space daily. You have to figure out how much time it will take for you to travel as well. Only when traveling is convenient can you go ahead with that working space.
• Client meets:
In case you want to meet your clients in the coworking space, you have to also figure out whether it is convenient for your clients to reach the coworking space or not.
Once you analyze the location of the coworking space depending on these two parameters, it becomes effortless for you to choose one.
2. Ambiance:
One of the main reasons why you should go with the coworking space is because of the ambiance. That is why; ignoring this is also a mistake. There are two aspects on which you should analyze the ambiance.
• Interiors:
Of course, when you visit the coworking space, you’re going to look at the interiors. Rather than just looking at the interior design, you have to look at the furniture design as well.
Only when the table and chair you get are comfortable, will you work in the coworking space productively.
• Community:
One of the primary reasons why the ambiance of a coworking space is good is the community. Since professionals will surround you, it is easy to work diligently. That is why you have to consider this aspect and then decide regarding the coworking space.
3. Cost:
Of course, the cost of the coworking space matters a lot. In a country like Singapore, renting your own space is going to be expensive. Instead, when you go with coworking space in Singapore, it is essential to know about the tariff. There are three parameters on which you should analyze the cost. These include:
• Flexible:
You have to look at the flexibility. This is often the most affordable plan. That is why you have to find out how much it will cost if you opt for a hot desk or a flexible desk.
• Fixed desk:
Similarly, if you’re sure that you will regularly work from a coworking space, you can go for a fixed desk. You have to look at the tariff for the same.
• Working hours:
Rather than looking at just the tariff of the coworking space, it is time to look at the working hours as well. Ideally, the space should provide you with 24/7 excess. Only then, it makes sense to go with such a coworking space.
Once you analyze the tariff on these 3 parameters, you can decide whether it is affordable for you or not.
4. Additional amenities:
There are a few additional amenities that most of the coworking spaces provide. However, not all of them do. That is why you have to go through the checklist, and only if the coworking space has these facilities can you go ahead with it.
• Reception area:
If space has a reception area, it is very easy for you to manage visitors and a lot of other things.
• Pantry:
Similarly, if it has a pantry or cafeteria, it becomes effortless for you to have lunch and meals in the coworking space.
• Meeting rooms:
For conducting meetings, you will, of course, need meeting rooms.
• Printer & Fax Machine:
Apart from the Internet, you will need a printer and a fax machine from time to time.
Once your coworking space has these amenities, you can go ahead with it.
You just need to use this 4-step checklist. Once you use this 4-step checklist, it will become very easy for you to choose the right coworking space.
