Product launch events are a great way to get people excited about your brand-new product and hit the ground running with sales. Unfortunately, big events haven’t been a possibility for the last year due to the pandemic, so a lot of businesses have been taking their events online instead.

Even though this happened out of necessity, many businesses have realized that there are benefits to online product launch events. Firstly, they’re much cheaper to run because you don’t need to hire a huge venue. They’re also less time-consuming to set up and, most importantly, you can reach a much bigger audience. You’re not limited to the people that can physically attend your event; you can reach people all around the world.

However, there are other challenges involved with online product launch events that you need to overcome. If you are planning an online product launch event, follow these crucial tips.

Get The Production Values Right

Your online event is a reflection of your business and if you create an unprofessional, cheap-looking event, people will automatically have a bad impression of your company. They’re not likely to buy your product if your event looks like it was filmed and streamed on a camera phone. So, hire a professional live streaming company to film the event for you. If you get the production values right, people will take your product launch seriously and they’re far more likely to buy the product launch at the end of it. But if you don’t, people will switch off after a few minutes.

Create The Perfect Product Demonstration

Even though it’s important to create a fun event for your viewers, the product itself always has to be at the heart of everything. If you can’t show potential customers why they need to buy your product, your event will fail at its primary goal, making sales. Instead of telling them why your product is so amazing, you need to show them. Think about what the major problems your product solves are and focus your presentation around them. Make sure that you show all of the best features clearly and tell stories that your audience can relate to. They should feel like they absolutely can’t live without your product once they have finished watching your demonstration.

Build Hype Before The Event

Getting people to attend an online event is arguably easier than a physical one because they don’t have to commit to as much. However, people will only watch if they are already interested and excited about the product. So, when developing your product launch marketing plan, think about ways to build hype about the launch event. Leverage your social media pages to tease the event and let people know that something big is coming up. There’s no need to give too many details because a bit of mystery will entice people. You can’t count on people finding the event by chance, even if it is available online.

Online product launches are likely to become the norm in the future because they have a lot of benefits over a traditional event. So, follow these tips to make sure that your event outshines the rest.
