When we think about travel accommodation, one of the first things that comes to mind is Airbnb. It really is incredible what Airbnb has achieved in such a short space of time. This infographic from Half Price takes you through some of the key milestones in the growth of the company. Like with many companies they relied on investment early on. One interesting piece of entrepreneurial spirit by the three founders was in August 2008 in the run up to the US presidential elections when they designed cereal boxes with cartoon images of Barack Obama and John McCain. This was a great little bit of initiative and who knows what would have come of the company had they not netted $30,000 in vital funding at the time.
