Traffic generation and converting website visitors into leads or customers are the two biggest challenges online businesses face.
Traffic generation is probably easy to manage. Thanks to PPC platforms like Google Adwords or Facebook Ads. These platforms have made it easy to reach your target customers and direct them to your website. But the number of website visitors don’t mean anything if they are not converting into customers.
If you are a local business, and you are finding it hard to generate leads for your business, you can consider using one of the following tools.
And if you don’t know anything about traffic or lead generation, you can consider taking a lead generation course like The Modern Millionaires. The course teaches people how to build your own lead flipping business but local businesses can use the information to generate leads for their own businesses.
And now, let’s get back to the best lead generation tools:
1. FB Leads
“Facebook leads” is not really a tool. It is a type of advertising campaign that you can run through Facebook Ads platform. The reason it’s mentioned on top of our lead generation tools list is because you convert a potential customer into leads right there and then. It is better than having those people visit your website and fill out a form. Remember that every second counts. If you make those people wait for your website or landing page to load, you will lose a big percentage of them. It’s better to simply reach out with your offer and let them fill out a form without leaving Facebook. The Modern Millionaires course explains how to set up success FB ads campaigns.
2. OptinMonster:
OptinMonster, as the name suggests, is all about getting users to opt in for your emails list (though you can use it for capturing leads of all types). It will help you create landing pages with all sorts of pop ups or lead capturing forms. There are a load of settings to help you deal with all sorts of “behaviors” and improve your conversion rate.
3. HubSpot:
Hubspot is a complete CRM that allows you to set up funnels. It will take a little time to learn this and it’s not as simple as using FB leads or opt in forms. This kind of platform is good for businesses that are trying to target customers with complex purchase decisions. If you are a typical local business like dentist or cosmetic surgeon, you probably don’t need a full-fledged platform like HubSpot.
4. Klaviyo:
Klaviyo helps you capture leads and set up all sorts of email marketing campaigns. It allows you to segment users based on their history with your business so you can target them with different sorts of emails. For example, you can send special discounts to abandoned cart users and special offers to existing customers for the purpose of upselling or cross selling.
5. Intercom:
If you are looking for something extremely simple, you can probably use a tool like Intercom (or simply use a WhatsApp button so they can get in touch with you). These messaging apps or live chat tools work best for businesses that do not get hundreds of visitors on a daily basis.
These are the five best tools and you can pick one or two based on the type and size of your business. Make sure that you are using an Analytics tool that gives you all the information about the pages that visitors are entering or leaving from. That way, you can make small tweaks and set up popups that will improve your bounce rate and help you convert more visitors into leads.
