One-third life of an average person spent in the workplace. Therefore, it is essential for every office to be a safe and secure place. Unfortunately, it is not happening. Discriminatory Harassment

Personal Harassment

It involves inappropriate commenting on people based on race, gender, or religion. Further making Offensive jokes, Critical remarks, Intimidation tactics, and Ostracizing behaviors are the forms that lower their morale at offices. As there is no physical damage to property, but harming a person’s image is considered a serious issue. 

Physical Harassment

Physical harassment involves physical attacks or threatening a person. It can be in the form of gestures or physical moments to discomfort others. This type of harassment must be considered seriously. In some industries, employees at workplace violence are more prone to physical damage. These can be social services employees, retail staff, healthcare workers, teachers and educators, and public transit drivers. Therefore, at these places, employees and employees both need to take precautionary steps before such incidents arise.

Power Harassment

This type of harassment is characterized by power disparity between persons. People at lower authorities are more culprits of power issues by seniors. Under power harassment, a harasser may demand impossible tasks to be achieved in a limited time. Asking to produce lower than employee capability or poking in employees’ personal life. This type of harassment is in verbal form than physical harming. 

Cyberbullying

In the world of digitalization, every company is connected with employees with a medium of social media, email, or other networking channels. Still, the bullying is seen through these channels, therefore called a name of cyberbullying. It can be in the form of spreading humiliating content with mass emails or chats, spreading gossip or lying about victims, sending harassment messages directly to victims.
