While coronavirus hurts most professions and businesses, it has added the workload for professional cleaners. As people keep coronavirus at bay through proper cleanliness, professional cleaners like Glimmr are getting hired and employed even more.

But how are they adapting to the pandemic situation? What are the risks they are facing, and how are they coping with them? Aren’t you curious to know? I will be sharing some information that I gathered from various sources below. So, let’s check them out.

Before the virus came into existence, people’s lives were much different. To keep up with the virus, everyone had to adapt, and the professional cleaners had to too. They adapted to the situation in the following ways.

1. Wearing PPE

You wouldn’t see many cleaners wearing PPE gears before this pandemic. This was the first thing they had to do to adapt to the situation. Because no matter who you are or what you do, the virus can cling to your body in a variety of ways. And once it catches you, there is no easy way out.

Cleaners had to be most aware of that because they are responsible for cleaning places with the virus. Just wearing a mask will never be enough for professional cleaners. As they brush the surfaces for cleaning, the virus can easily cling to their body and then go inside.

Wearing a PPE covers up the whole body. This way, the cleaners can keep themselves protected from the virus at all costs. And it’s impossible to get infected with that virus.

2. Using disinfectant

I am pretty sure that not even half of the world’s population used to have hand sanitizers with them all the time. But to adapt to the pandemic, they had to take that measure. And the cleaners had to do that more than anyone.

Before the pandemic, they wouldn’t worry about disinfecting the places they cleaned. Just washing them was enough.

But because of the risk of spreading the virus, they had to use disinfectants of different kinds to kill the virus and stop it from spreading. So whether it’s in an office or a hotel or a public transport, they have been using disinfectants everywhere.

3. Have clear mental

The biggest change every cleaner had to make was in their mind. Taking up the risk wasn’t the easiest decision for them. Also, the anxiety level while doing all the clean-up was new to them. Working with that kind of thought process was surely very difficult for any professional cleaner out there. So, they had to adapt to that after going through several mental battles.

4. Post cleaning activities

Aside from that, the cleaners had to be extra careful after they were done cleaning. They had to take a bath after every cleaning session. They had to clean themselves up properly and disinfect themselves as well. These weren’t the things that cleaner would have done in the past.
