Monitoring the employees’ digital experience requires the ability to manage everything in one spot. To improve the end user’s productivity, it is essential to clearly and carefully observe their activities and experience while using the technologies. An effective digital employee experience monitoring can help you to manage the user experiences of different remote workplaces and improve the productivity of the users. However, to monitor the digital experience, the availability of network resources, applications, and desktops needs to be examined. These systems should work well and be available for the employees when they are working. An organization can also employ a monitoring strategy for effective evaluation of the digital experience and conduct proactive availability testing and network testing.

Proactive Availability Testing:

This method is useful to the availability and function of the applications, VMware Horizon, and Citrix-delivered desktops. In addition, proactive testing can also help you know about the availability of external and internal web applications and network services, such as file shares, DNS and print services, etc.

Network Testing:

Network testing can be of different types, and the testing method you should use depends on the issues you need to identify and other requirements based on your virtual infrastructure. Some essential methods for network testing are-

HTTP/S Testing:

This testing method will help you to check numerous parameters of your website and web constructions. You can also configure this method differently to make it appropriate for your purpose. For instance, you can evaluate the responsiveness of your website and assess the web service APIs across headers, GET/POST, and custom body. This test is also useful for examining the validity of the SSL certificate, the certificate chain, and the expiration duration. By conducting this test on the custom proxy servers, you can estimate the health of the proxy server.

Ping Testing:

If you require evaluating the package round-excursion time and checking your systems’ availability, such as desktops, apps, and networks, you can use this testing method. You should also include some advanced options, for instance, an ICMP test to examine the jitter during the test. For the determination of a suitable port, this testing method is effective.

Traceroute Testing:

With the help of this test, you can test the availability of the packet’s routes across an IP network. Besides helping you check the availability of different routes hop along the way to the destination, this method also helps you know the latency of every hop along the way.

DNS Testing:

DNS testing is particularly for identifying the availability and health issues of the DNS servers. If a domain does not respond properly, this test is helpful to get the desired result back.

The Importance of Digital Experience Management:

The management of digital experience is important for multiple reasons; for instance, an organization can manage the whole infrastructure and the employees’ activities with the help of digital experience monitoring. Furthermore, efficient tracking of the digital experience also helps an organization to learn about the overall health of the EUC environment and the digital journey of the employees.
