Considering setting up an event as a way to promote your business, interact with customers and sell some products? Here are some of the ways you can go about making it a success.

Spread the word

Running a successful business event means getting enough interest and people attending. Social media is an excellent way to connect, or you could send invitations to some customers or clients directly. You could even post on billboards and use flyers and leaflets around the area where you’re holding the event depending on the kind of reach you’re after.

Make it worthwhile

People will attend an event when there’s something in it for them, so making it fun will increase the likelihood that people will show up. Consider things like a bouncy castle and face painting for children. You could invite food stall vendors to come and sell at your event, and have entertainers like balloon artists and jugglers to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Once people are at your event having fun, you’re more likely to be able to engage them with your products or sales pitch. If people think they’re being invited down just to be sold to then it’s going to put them off.

Prepare sales pitches

Before the event, offer training to improve knowledge about your product and business, work on your sales pitch and go through how to answer any tricky questions that might come up. That way, when people enquire, you can be sure that they’ll be given all of the right information.

Find the right venue

The right venue will make or break a business event. The infographic below has more information about this.
