What You Need to Keep in Mind when Wrapping Your CarOkay, so you’ve decided that you’re looking at car wrapping to help with advertising. It’s definitely one of the best investments you can make as it’ll help you with your ‘driving downtime’ and help you make the most of your money in advertising. But how exactly should you be doing the wrapping? What elements should you be focusing on? We can help you with that by offering some pointers and tips to make sure your wrapping is done right.

Crystal Clear Communication

If your car is wrapped and has a big brand name and logo on it, sure, people will notice it while you drive by. But it could be very unclear to most people what exactly your business offers unless it is in the name. For example, ‘Pest Control’ could refer to a business which deals with small animals, removing them from premises or taking them to a shelter. But it could also mean extermination services for bugs, or perimeter security to make sure pests don’t get in. See how it could be unclear to the average person?

To make the most of your wrap, make sure your name and contact information are visible, but make sure that it’s clear what you offer. There shouldn’t be any ambiguity, so you can try listing some of the major services you can render to whoever picks up their phone.

Also, watch out for any types of ‘hidden messages,’ like the way a word may change when a door is opened or a window is rolled down. If your message is ‘popcorn,’ then make sure that C sticks right to the O when the door slides and covers the ‘op.’

Flashy Designs

It’s your car and your business, so make it count, and make it stand out! The design phase should be your chance to make the most of your advertisement. When cruising down the street, how many dark coloured or silver cars do you see? Too many, they all blend into each other. Now, how many bright, neon green cars do you see? How well do they stand out in the crowd? Better than the rest. Now, maybe the colour green isn’t what you’re looking for. But aim for bright colours that’ll make you more prominent and catch people’s eyes!

Your car has its own shape, so take this into account as well. Maybe wrapping the windows isn’t the best idea, but it’s definitely a possibility as well if you need more space for the design! Your wheel rims could also be customized. Make the design on your hood reversed so people see it in their mirrors. Get creative, explore your options!

Short and Sweet

Lastly, try to keep your message short and sweet. Or snappy, if that’s what you’re after. Have a look at slogan creation if you don’t have one yet. A whole paragraph on the side of your car isn’t the most appealing, and you’ll have to make the words small to fit it on, which makes it harder for people to see what you’re about. If you’re listing your services, try to limit it to four things. Remember, less means more in the advertising world.

This should give you an idea of the main things to look for when designing your car wrapping ideas. Flashy and outstanding, but short and clear. The rest is up to you, whatever you feel would suit your business the best, so get creative and get started now!
