Renewable energy engineers are in high demand in the oil, gas, energy utilities and technology industries.  Others in demand across both sectors include data analysts, IoT (internet of things) experts, AI/ML developers, and software engineers.

Since technology alters the nature of labor, it’s been suggested that speeding up the process of retraining and updating skills will become critical for staffing renewable energy positions in businesses across the world. It is expected that by 2025, the time that people and computers spend doing workplace duties would be comparable.

Adjusting one’s skill set in preparation for the evolving labor market is going to become the focus of renewable energy recruiters. Without skilled people to fill the renewable energy jobs, the industry will not be able to grow and meet the demands left by the cutback in fossil fuel industry jobs.

Executives in the energy sector are working on initiatives including national upskilling programs, industry task groups, and policy reform efforts to hasten the process of systemic change in the supply of skills.

Many high-paying positions are becoming available as the renewable energy sector expands at a rate 12% faster than the overall US economy. Since 2012, when the oil and gas sectors seemed to have peaked, the number of employment associated with the extraction and support of fossil fuels has been on the decline.

Because of this, people are on the lookout for new employment prospects, and the renewable energy recruitment sector is now growing at a rate that is 12% higher than the overall U.S. recruitment growth. Companies are beginning to understand the importance of sustainable technologies to their long-term performance and profitability, which bodes well for the renewable energy sector in terms of creating new jobs.

Openings In Renewable Energy In The Current Market

Some of the immediate opportunities in renewable energy are below:

  • Technician of Wind Turbines

Installing, servicing, and repairing wind turbines (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_turbine) are all part of your work description as a technician. You’ll be spending a lot of time outside, in small quarters, and on very tall scaffolding. You just need a high school graduation to enter this field, but it has the potential to become one of the most lucrative and in-demand occupations in the nation.

  • Expert Technical Advisor on the Energy Transition

You’ll be in charge of coming up with and implementing strategies for cutting down on fossil fuel use, as well as any other renewable energy solutions that may be needed.

  • Finance and Asset Management Trainee in the Renewable Energy Sector

By joining an asset steering committee, you’ll be able to keep an eye on things like contractual compliance as well as administration, operational evaluation and analysis, and more at renewable energy plants while they’re in use. You’ll need to be at least a sophomore in a BS degree and have a deep familiarity with renewable energy for this.

  • Power Analyst

Auditors, diagnosticians, and data analysts are all needed in the renewable energy sector. Click here to read more on energy conservation. On top of collecting data, you’ll need to write out reports evaluating the effectiveness of energy conservation measures taken. Employers expect candidates to have at least a bachelor’s degree for engineering, or environmental engineering in addition to strong analytical and presenting abilities.

  • Junior Associate in Energy Law

The focus of this study is on cutting-edge energy issues, such as those related to renewable energy as well as clean technology. You’ll have direct contact with customers and be provided with the knowledge and tools to start building your own clientele. You require a J.d. and active membership in a State Bar in addition to experience in the energy, ecological, or technological sectors.

  • Young Application Engineer

You may get a full-time job like an applications architect when you have a bachelor’s engineering bachelor’s degree, an in-depth knowledge of sustainable power, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

The Future of Renewable Energy Recruitment

As the need for skilled employees grows across the renewable energy sector, training and certification does as well. Recruiters will work to ensure that those employed in the field are up to date with the skills necessary to keep sustainability at the forefront of the business world.
