Lots have changed in the last few years for companies. It all started with Brexit, then came the COVID-19 crisis, and now the war in Ukraine is destabilizing many businesses with the high energy cost they face. However, opening a company in Germany is still a very good idea. Here is why.
Access to the EU Market
The EU market is one of the largest in the world. When the UK decided to leave the EU, it cut itself off from this great territory, and many paid a very high price because of the decision. Yet, it is still possible for companies to get back to it by opening a division or transferring to Germany. The process is well worth it, especially for those UK companies that used to benefit from the market before Brexit came through. Maybe it is time to think about shipping furniture to Germany, to reinitiate these contacts that were in place before under the same conditions.
But it is not only about selling. It is also for suppliers. When you are based in the EU, you have access to a large quantity of some of the biggest companies in the world. They can supply you with all you need, but your company may also be helpful to them. These are clients that everyone would love to have since they generally represent large sums of transactions.
Be part of the Largest EU Economy
It can be said that the heart of Europe is Germany. Angela Merkel, who led the country for sixteen years, made sure that it kept growing and was at the center of all the most important decisions that were taken in Europe, during her time in power. Europe’s largest economy is built to continue growing, as it possesses some of the best European talents and skilled workers to do the job. It is also one of the best countries for start-ups, where they can collaborate with a large number of other ones like them, which in term helps them grow faster and stronger.
Help with Financing
As business owners, we all know that the hardest part of opening a new company is to fund it. In Germany, this part can be much easier. Governments are willing to help you, as they will pay up to 80% of the cost of a consultant specializing in creating business plans. The goal is for them to prepare a document that will make it easier to get an okay from the bank when presenting the project to them regarding a loan. The government also provides protection in case the company would fail.
Part of a Multicultural Society
It is much easier to live in a multicultural society, as it is open to more ideas. It reflects itself on the work as well. Immigration in Germany is one of their forces, especially as it brings specialized skilled workers to the land. Today, over 10 million people from different countries call Germany their home.
