Private events, hotels, sporting events, festivals, movie premiers and resorts all need valets. They want to give this feature to their guests to add a bit of class to their company. A hotel that can tell their customers to leave their cars outside, and come on in will get them quicker to other areas of the hotel where their money can be spent. Why would they want a customer to drive around looking for a parking spot in their car park when they can hire skilled drivers to do it for them? Some businesses will have their own valet department. Setting it up much like any other part of the business, they are responsible for taking care of all their customers’ cars and running a tight ship. No one wants to stand outside the establishment waiting a long time for their car to be driven up to them so they can go about their way. But this can be a third wheel to many businesses, hence why almost always they will hire a private valet service company to work for them. It’s that difficult to start this kind of business either, yet still become a successful name.
Hiring the person
Valets don’t need to have a personality like a concierge might. The latter is with the customer for a lot longer and will be asked questions about the other range of services. A valet needs to be punctual. In other words, they need to be efficient, safe, quick and have a common courtesy approach. However when looking to hire someone to be a valet in your business, raise your standards in their driving skills. Many valet businesses will have their own tests to see if a potential employee is a safe but quick driver. This doesn’t need to be the case all the time as you can hire from companies that offer advanced driving courses. Stuntmen, motorsport drivers and other kinds of drivers will be at these courses and may want to look for some part-time or full-time work using their advanced skills.
Be insured to rest assured
Valet companies may park and deliver hundreds and hundreds of cars a night depending on the business they are servicing. Some little accidents are bound to happen every now and then although your valets will do their utmost to avoid them. You should perhaps opt for motor trade insurance which can cover all the cars you are working with. If someone happens to scrape the side of a customer’s car on a wall, this kind of thing can be fixed by this policy. And the great thing is, your business is insured on this policy as a whole meaning an unlimited amount of cars are being covered at once. Great for a business that deals with driving a large number of cars in tight spots and is working late into the night.
A private valet service company is a great way to start off a micro business. Keep the crew tight and hire the most skilled drivers you possibly can by going to advanced drivers schools and working with them. Insure all the cars that you work with with a blanket policy for your company and you can repair relationships with unsatisfied customers.

I like that most companies have a test to make sure that the valets they hire are quick but safe at driving so that we don’t have to worry about our car getting damaged. It’s important to be safe when you’re driving, even if it’s just from the front of a building to a parking lot. I feel a lot better about hiring a valet service now that I know they take great care to make sure they’re safe.
