Running a business can be a challenge and a key part of that is managing your marketing efforts to drive people from viewing your products to buying from you.

Marketing is a key part of business and there are a lot of things you need to think about when marketing for your brand. Today we want to talk about the different ways that you can ensure your brand stands out from the rest and everything you need to consider when marketing for your company.

There are many different facets to marketing and today we are going to take a look at just a few of them.

Build a good website

The first step to building your marketing strategy for a modern business is to build a website. You can either choose to do this yourself and try out a platform like WordPress or you can instead consider hiring a firm to build the site for you. A lot of the time it may be easier to do the latter, as building a website that has good functionality can be a challenge, and it will be important for your brand. Make sure that you get your website up and running as soon as you can, and link it to a Google Analytics account as this will allow you to track visits and conversions through campaigns.

Get a CRM

Now is the time to consider getting a CRM system for your business where you can add leads. Leads will come in many forms whether it be on social media, through your website, or through email marketing. Once you have a list of leads you can use these to target your advertising and make better decisions with your brand. A CRM keeps all of your data in one place and it ensures that you leave no person behind when creating campaigns.

Communication is key

Good communication will improve employee satisfaction and therefore happier customers, leading to better results.
You can initiate a program to increase employee satisfaction because this will lead to positive performance. This is because good communication definitely improves employee and therefore customer satisfaction. Depending on the size of your business, you can do this by:

  1. Conduct focus groups of employees to identify which key customer satisfaction factors are related to interactions with employees.
  2. Conduct employee surveys and include questions about employee behaviours and attitudes that relate to the key customer interactions that were identified in the focus groups.
  3. Include questions about communication in survey questions both to employees and customers. Communication questions are needed in order to establish the link between communication and customer satisfaction and therefore customer intentions and actions.

These initiatives will definitely strengthen your bottom line.

Try live chat

One feature you can add to your website is a live chat function. This will allow visitors to come and ask a question about your products instead of leaving the site without a response. It is important to engage with your audience as much as you can, and a live chat function can be a great help. You can install on with Hubspot and track your messages through there.

Get on social media

Social media is a powerful marketing tool and it is often the channel where you gain the most attention. Every man and his dog has a social media account these days and they use it to share things about their lives and businesses every single day. By bringing yourself to the attention of a wider audience, you are more likely to get conversions through to your website or in the form of emails and calls if that’s what you have chosen. Being on social media can also help your customers to trust you as you will be more accessible.

Create blog content

One great way to start making a splash online is to create a blog section on your website and write articles relevant to your brand. For example, if you were an estate agent, you might share articles about moving house, how to make the most of viewings, or how to spruce up your garden for the spring. By creating content you will increase your SEO ranking, and more people are likely to swing by and visit your site.

Be a graphic design whizz

If you want to go old school with your marketing or you often frequent events and job fairs etc. one great idea is to print out leaflets and brochures with a company like StressFreePrint. Having a leaflet that explains a product or showcases your brand can be a great thing and often people will take notice if you have these items available. If you are a local business you can also consider a leaflet drop through the postal service and this will make people aware of who you are and what you do.

Be consistent

When creating content for the online world, it is important to stay consistent in terms of timing and also the type of content. You need to come up with a content plan that fits your schedule and try not to over-face yourself. If you don’t think you can write more than one article a week for example; make this your routine and don’t over-face yourself. Consistency in marketing is so important and you must create a plan you can stick to in order to find success.
