“To truly integrate these innovative tools, corporate trainings and collaboration with partners to develop pilot projects are essential” – Cristina Pez, Commercial Director B2B and Education at Acer EMEA
Artificial intelligence is reshaping the personal computer market. According to the latest monitoring from the global market intelligence firm CONTEXT, 44% of PCs sold in Europe are now equipped with integrated AI technology, featuring next generation “AI Ready” chipsets designed to natively interact with artificial intelligence systems.
Cristina Pez, Commercial Director B2B and Education at Acer EMEA, brought the company’s perspective to the event “Artificial Intelligence – Real Economy” held at the Italian Senate of the Republic, focused on the contribution of AI to the real economy. Pez stated: “The European market has already reached a significant result in terms of sales. To truly integrate these innovative tools, corporate trainings and the collaboration with our partners in developing pilot project are crucial. In fact, those represent key levers to turn artificial intelligence into an accelerator of innovation, supporting SMEs in their process of growth”.
Among the most interesting cases is elasticStage, a UK-based startup operating in on-demand vinyl and CD production, which has integrated artificial intelligence tools to make its creative and operational processes more efficient. Thanks to the adoption of AI-powered laptops, the company uses AI to analyze data, automate administrative tasks, support marketing activities, and enhance quality control, while maintaining high artistic standards even at scale. This approach has enabled elasticStage to grow rapidly, reducing complexity and working time, and freeing up resources for innovation without losing focus on the creative value of artists and content.
“AI-ready PCs are quickly moving into the mainstream of the European market”, said Marie-Christine Pygott, senior analyst at CONTEXT. “The shift is being driven more by practical buying decisions around refresh cycles, operating system changes and device lifespan than by demand for specific AI features”
At the same time, the application of AI in education responds to the transformation required by the job market. As Pez noted: “Schools must be able to provide adequate digital literacy. Artificial intelligence offers new learning opportunities, making educational paths more personalized and inclusive, but it must always be supported by security, listening, and training to develop skills such as data analysis, critical thinking, and digital collaboration, enabling students to meet the needs of the digital era.”
In this context, listening to the needs of schools plays an essential role: many Acer products arise from direct discussions with teachers and institutions, such as convertible devices designed for multiple usage modes to support teaching. This approach is also reflected in the Skills for Innovation project, a training program developed by Acer and Intel to support teachers and students in developing digital skills, offering practical pathways, operational tools, and innovative methodologies to integrate artificial intelligence consciously and inclusively into educational processes.
Technology thus becomes a tool to enhance teacher productivity and monitor student progress. “Technological tools do not replace teachers; they free them, give them back time, and allow them to have a clearer view of their students’ progress,” Pez emphasized.
The speech concluded by highlighting the three pillars guiding Acer in the development of technologies for businesses and schools: proximity, listening, and training—elements that make every innovation journey sustainable and truly valuable, both for companies and for the education system.
