It can be tempting to start a business and make sizable profits from it at a low investment. But you are probably asking yourself if that is possible or too good to be true, or if it is a good idea to do this. Low investment business ideas are an excellent way to try your hand at entrepreneurship as a total beginner before you jump into the deep end of the pool and lose tons of capital. Here are some cool business ideas that may yield profits, if done correctly:

1. Create & Sell Posters And Prints

Good at art but struggling to make money from it? You ought to start creating things that sell. Posters and prints are a great way to get the ball rolling. Dropshipping is a fantastic way to sell physical pieces of your art. However, you need to make sure the prints and posters you create are yours alone so that you don’t get into any legal trouble.

If you think this is out of the question for now, start with digital pieces on social media platforms and build a following before you start dropshipping.

2. Design & Sell Cool T-Shirts

Just like the previous business idea, this involves dropshipping. Start with simple on-demand t-shirts that people want to own. Focus on designs based on pop-culture, music, and so forth so that you come up with cool designs on things that people are hip with today. You can count on a third-party supplier to take care of your shipping and fulfillment. All you have to focus on is creating original products that people want to own, including hats, t-shirts, phone cases, bags, hoodies, and much more. Be sure not to copy someone else’s work and use it as your own. You can come up with cool designs and slogans that have never been used before to appeal to your target audience.

If you do not want to do this on a wide scale basis or full-time, consider doing this as a freelancer. You could make a profile on social media and spread the word consistently or set up a profile on freelance platforms like Upwork and Fiverr. After all, companies and individuals are always on the lookout for talented designers. Keep in mind that you do not have to print your products in batches, but as per an on-demand arrangement.

3. Create A Cool Digital Product Or Course

If you have managed to get reasonably good at something, especially to a point where people want to learn what you know, why deny them that? There are platforms that allow you to set up courses and curriculums, making it easy for you to teach your audience systematically.

4. Online Fashion Boutique

If fashion is your forte, starting an online clothing boutique is an excellent idea. All you would have to do is dropship items from other vendors to get started. Examples of such items would include cool, rare dresses, accessories, swimwear, t-shirts, sneakers, and other interesting apparel that people might find appealing. However, if you are a fashion designer and want to start a brand from scratch, there are several product sourcing apps on the market that you can use.

5. Crafts

Have a thing for crafts? Well, why not make it a business. If you haven’t noticed, everyone in this day and age, goes to the internet to find solutions for just about everything. If people are looking for all things arts and crafts related, why not be their one-stop solution? You can start coaching online, sell crafts, DIY kits, and a bunch of other cool relevant products that your target audience can benefit from. It has never been easier to do this.

6. Create A Bookstore

Maybe you were an avid reader once upon a time but aren’t any more. You may not have the time to sift through the volumes of books you have shelved in the basement. Why not sell them if you do not plan to get back to them? This will help you clear out some space and make some money at the same time. Start posting pictures of your books on social media and let people know you are selling them.

7. Online Bakery

People love desserts, and especially cakes. If you have some incredible baking skills that you want to show off, now is the time to do it and make a name for yourself. Start baking cakes and selling them online. You can use a variety of online services to accept and manage orders and payments.

8. Create Applications

Today, there is an app for virtually everything. App developers are in demand. If you know how to create an app but don’t think you have enough experience to take on some truly big projects, why not start small and design apps for local businesses and work your way up?

9. Sell Homemade Goods

If you’ve spent your time at home during the pandemic perfecting your handcrafted goods, it is time for you to let people know about them. Consider making and selling homemade soap, ceramics, and so on.

10. Help Other Business Grow Online

Marketing is hugely important today. If you know your way around online marketing, consider helping other businesses with their Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media marketing campaigns, write sponsored posts, and so on.

Conclusion

There you have it – ten cool profitable businesses that you can start without a dime to your name. The added advantage is that you can do all of these things from the comfort of your own home, which is a huge plus at a time like this.
